Takeara Tuesday: Summer Playlist

The summer is time to refresh yourself and take a break from school (in some cases maybe not lol). Music can often help with that. Whether you're cooking out, vibing at some nice kickbacks/ parties, or in your car riding, here are some nice summer tracks for you to look into.

Wild Thoughts- DJ Khaled ft. Rihanna and Bryson Tiller

This is more of a party jam in my opinion but it's also nice to ride in the car with and listen to. The song it samples, Maria Maria by Santana, is also a nice tune to vibe to in the summer. Either way, just know that this song is a hit.

Crew- Goldlink ft. Brent Faiyaz and Shy Glizzy

This song is my jam! I was introduced to it at an event at my school and I've been jamming to it ever since. This is some nice riding music that may even make you want to pull over, jump put of your car, and hit a couple of dance moves.

Love Galore- SZA ft. Travis Scott

This makes you feel like you're in a music video lol. Some people can relate to the lyrics so it's easy for them to get into it. For me it's simply everything. The music, the lyrics (even though I don't necessarily relate lol), the SZA and Travis Scott collaboration. Smooth vibes is how I describe this song.

Rake It Up- Yo Gotti ft. Nicki Minaj

I'm just here for Nicki's verse and the hook lol. This song is mostly just catchy. I don't really care for what Yo Gotti is saying besides "Rake it up..." This is definitely a party/ cookout song as well a turnt riding song.

Congratulations- Post Malone ft. Quavo

I just recently got into this song. The intro really drew me in and made me want to continue listening. I could see myself riding with this up loud and the windows down. It only seems right lol. This is a true summer jam to me.

Whatever You Need- Meek Mill ft. Chris Brown and Ty Dolla $ign

This song is a sample of Tony Toni Tone's song Whatever You Want and I must say it's a hit in my opinion. I guess I like the beat and the verses just flow so well. Not to mention that I like the original song as well lol. Riding music. No explanation needed.

Baltimore Bonus:

Shinning- YBS Skola

This song gets people turnt, especially if you know they lyrics. It's fun to see and hear everyone singing and jumping when this song comes on. It's pretty catchy.
