Interrupted Plans

Happy Tuesday! I hope your week so far is productive and blessed!

Have you ever made plans, but they didn't go as planned? Have you ever had things go a way that you weren't prepared for? I'm sure we all have! That's simply life!

Jesus's mother, Mary, went through this exact same thing. A virgin and engaged to be married to Joseph, Mary had been chosen to carry and give birth to Jesus. She was terrified! Luke 1:29 says "and when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be." She was probably thinking of the shame that would come her way as well as the confusion and betrayal her future husband, Joseph would feel. This clearly wasn't in her plans!

Sometimes God interrupts our plans to show us that He has even better plans for us than we have for ourselves. God wants to take us to a higher level and sometimes this means Him throwing off your plans and challenging you to have faith. How will you respond? Will you have faith and go with His plans or will you resist and try to go against His plans? Your response is crucial.

We can make plans all we want, but ultimately God is in control. Don't get me wrong, it's good to plan but sometimes you have to be prepared for things to not go as planned. Each day, remember that God reigns over all, including your plans. When God interrupts your plans, it's always for the better!

Has God ever interrupted your plans? How so?
